2022-23 celebrating the 150th anniversary of the composer

RVW50, the celebrations for Ralph Vaughan Williams’s 150th birthday have launched with the start of a symphonic cycle Toward the Unknown Region presented by the BBC Philharmonic and the Halle over 11 weeks in Manchester.

As an artist he deserves a position in our culture of the rank we accord to Shakespeare, Turner, Wren or Dickens.’
