Grants and the Coronavirus

In the light of the widespread cancellation of public concerts at the present time, the Trustees of VWCT appreciate and sympathise with the distressing predicament that performing organisations find themselves in and have agreed as follows:

  1. Grants, which have already been paid for events which have now been cancelled, will remain returnable to the trust in accordance with the condition on the signed receipt, except that 10% may be retained as a contribution to expenses already accrued. If the event in question is postponed to a known date later in the year, the grant may be retained in full against the postponed concert, though if that is again cancelled, it will be returnable at that point, less he 10% for accrued expenses. However where artists connected with supported events have invoiced cancellation fees, the Trustees will, at their discretion, also consider allowing a further amount to be retained as a contribution to help with settling these invoices (provided copies of any such invoices are sent to the Trust).

  2. Grants, that have been awarded but not yet paid, for events which are cancelled, will not be paid. However, here again, where artists connected with supported events have invoiced cancellation fees, the Trustees will, at their discretion, consider making a contribution to help with settling these invoices (provided copies of any such invoices are sent to the Trust).
